Job Description
Join us as a Financial Aid Administrator (FAA), guiding students through financial aid processes to ensure they receive the necessary assistance. Prior experience is preferred, but not required. We will offer training to the right candidate. Reporting to the Compliance Director, you’ll oversee financial aid operations, including monitoring and managing payment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payment plans, including monitoring, providing reminders, and enforcing consequences for non-payment.
- Guide students on financial aid options.
- Assess eligibility for aid based on regulations.
- Develop aid packages tailored to students’ needs.
- Conduct counseling on loan repayment and financial choices.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain accurate records.
- Disburse funds and communicate important updates to students.
- Resolve issues and provide resources for financial literacy.
- Collaborate with other departments for a seamless student experience.
- Stay updated on regulations and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Compliance with FERPA and institutional policies.
- Ability to handle confidential matters tactfully.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships.
- Strong professional judgment and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years of related experience, preferably in financial aid.
- Proficiency in Adobe and MS Office software.
