At our Boise campus, students become part of a beauty school community shaped by years of experience, high standards, and a shared passion for the industry. From the beginning of their education, they are encouraged to explore their creativity, strengthen their technical abilities, and develop the confidence to work with real guests.
Hands-on learning in our student salon gives students the opportunity to practice both foundational techniques and current beauty trends while receiving guidance from dedicated instructors. Through this experience, they learn how to communicate with guests, adapt their approach, and create thoughtful, personalized results.
As students progress, they do more than build practical skills. They begin developing their own professional style, forming relationships within the Boise community, and preparing to take the next step toward a future in beauty.
THE NATHAN LAYNE INSTITUTE EXPERIENCE
Natural. Radiant. Clean. Unique.
Founded in 2007, our Boise location reflects the culture, curriculum, and standard of learning we have built over the years. The 10,000-square-foot campus features 40 styling stations, clean wood floors, timeless white walls, and a student salon and spa that supports immersive, hands-on education.
Students can choose from three programs spanning multiple beauty disciplines and learn with plant-based, eco-friendly Aveda products. Experienced instructors help students connect technical education with creativity, professionalism, and a more thoughtful approach to beauty.
The Boise experience is designed to help students grow into capable, well-rounded professionals. It is a place where they can take their goals seriously, challenge themselves, and build a strong foundation for the career ahead.
What Programs Are Offered at Nathan Layne Institute?
Our Boise location offers four beautiful programs. Cosmetology (full time and part time), Esthetician (full time), Cosmetology to Barber crossover (5 weeks) and Manicuring/Nail Technology (three days a week). No matter which program you choose to enroll in, you will be met with a curriculum that can teach you the practical and theoretical skills required for the profession you wish to pursue. In addition to hard skills, we teach business, marketing, networking, and other business-related topics. Our owners have developed this side of our curriculum to help better prepare students for life outside our school’s doors.
